Frauds – All Other

06/11/15 – At around 6:30 p.m., a detective on overtime and other officers responded to Five Napkin Burgers at 105 Huntington Ave. for a report of a person who refused to pay his bill.

On arrival, police observed the suspect, who is known to them, being handcuffed by Prudential Mall security.

The manager told police the suspect had entered the restaurant at around 4:15 p.m. and ordered food and drinks. Approximately an hour later, the suspect presented a debit card to pay the bill, which was declined. The manager called the police after the suspect said he had no money on his person to cover his tab.

Complaints will be sought against the suspect in Boston Municipal Court for defrauding an innkeeper.

Assault and Battery

06/13/15 – At approximately 7:05 p.m., police responded to a radio call for an assault and battery in progress at 218 Newbury St.

Upon arrival, the victim told officers that the first suspect, a 27-year-old male who is known to her, walked up behind the victim and punched her in the back of the head.

The second suspect, a 26-year-old female who is also known to the victim, then scratched the victim on the hand before both suspects fled up Newbury Street.

The victim was transported from the scene by ambulance to Massachusetts General Hospital.
