Two pedestrians were killed on Saturday following a car crash in the Back Bay.
Boston Police said one motor vehicle collided with another at the corner of Beacon and Fairfield streets at about 9:13 p.m. before rolling over and striking two pedestrians.
The pedestrians were later identified John Lanzillotti, a 28-year-old who served as manager of productions and game operations for the Boston Red Sox for the past seven seasons, and Campbell, age 27. Both were Brookline residents. Lanzillotti was pronounced dead on the scene while Campbell was transported by Boston EMS to Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The two occupants of the first vehicle were transported to the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The collision remains under investigation.
