January 21, 2014

The Back Bay’s Grill 23 & Bar, L’Espalier and Post 390 Restaurant are among the nearly 20 eateries to participate in the Greater Boston Food Bank’s (GBFB) 32nd annual Super Hunger Brunch on Saturday, Jan. 25, and Sunday, Jan. 26.

“We’re pleased to have so many members of the Bay State’s food community participate in Super Hunger Brunch again this year,” said Catherine D’Amato, GBFB president and chief executive officer.” As always, we are most grateful for their time, talents and contributions to this important fundraising event for GBFB.”

The largest hunger-relief organization in New England, GBFB is also one of the country’s largest food banks and a member of Feeding America – the nation’s food bank network . It distributes more than 47 million pounds of food- and grocery-products annually to 550 member hunger-relief agencies and more than 30 direct service programs throughout eastern Massachusetts.

In 2013, more than 1,700 people participated in Super Hunger Brunch, raising enough money to provide 183,000 meals in 190 cities and towns throughout the region.

This year, prices are set at $25, $35 and $50 per person, and for every dollar spent, three nutritious meals will be provided to those in need. Visit for advance tickets and more information.
