On arrival, officers spoke with the cashier, who said an unknown homeless man confronted her inside the store. She said man attempted to exchange food that customers had purchased for him for cash. When the cashier told the suspect that he couldn’t return the items, he allegedly said he would  “knife” her. The cashier then asked the suspect to leave and not return to the store.

Police canvassed the area for the suspect to no avail, but advised the victim to contact police if he returned.

Vandalism

01/31/13 – At about 1:51 a.m., officers on patrol responded to a radio call to investigate a male suspect screaming and banging on his car at 342 Commonwealth Ave.

On arrival, police observed a male standing in front of a 2001 blue Volkswagen Jetta at that location, and further investigation reveled the car to have broken front window on its passenger’s side. Officers also observed the suspect handing a metal sign near the car’s broken window.

Police asked the suspect what he was doing, to which he relied that he broke the window in an effort to help his friend, who owned the car, enter the vehicle. After checking the vehicle’s registration, officers determined that the car’s owner wasn’t known to the suspect, who was placed under arrest and transported to District Four headquarters for booking.

The suspect was charged with breaking and entering to a motor vehicle in the nighttime, and Stadium Towing removed the motor vehicle from the scene.
