INCIDENTS

Possession of a Dangerous Weapon

06/04/12 – While on patrol in the area of Berkeley and Newbury streets at around 1:06 a.m., officer observed the suspect on a mountain bike near a car on Berkeley Street, where he bent over and picked something up off the ground.

Due to the recent rash of car breaks in the area, police initiated a Field Intelligence Observation (FIO) stop on the suspect and found a small plastic bag containing a green left substance believed to be marijuana in his possession, as well as a small pipe commonly used for smoking marijuana and a switchblade knife.

The suspect also was in possession of five pairs of women’s thong underwear and a pair of women’s pants, which he said he found in a used clothing bin.

The suspect was issued a civil citation for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and logged the knife in as evidence.

Willful and Malicious Destruction of Property

06/08/12 – At about 8:30 a.m., officers responded to the Citizen’s Bank, located at 807 Boylston St., for a radio call for vandalism in progress and observed that the suspect had kicked in the front door at that location.

Inside the lobby, police observed that the front glass door of the business was shattered and a bank employee standing on the other side of the door.

Once the suspect was secured, officers spoke with the bank employee, who stated that about 8 a.m., the suspect started kicking the door and said, “I need money.”

The bank employee said at about 8:30 a.m., the suspect began to kick the door, causing the glass to break.

The suspect was transported to Are d-4 headquarters, where he was charged with destruction of property.
