Halloween Activities in Back Bay

Halloween is less than a week away.  And there are some big plans brewing in the neighborhood.

Before it gets too dark next Monday night when all sorts of creatures are sure to pour out onto the streets for their candy fix, there is the annual Halloween party at the Clarendon Street Playground from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

The Friends of the Clarendon Street Playground and the Neighborhood Association of the Back Bay are sponsoring this event. There will be magic and juggling show (performance begins at 5:00 p.m.), hayrides, and a spooky good time! Be sure to wear your favorite costume.

Pizza slices, drinks and glow necklaces will be on sale for $1 each.

Be sure to check the neighborhood Safe House Trick-or-Treat list that will be distributed at the event. To add your house to the list, call NABB at 617-247-3961 or email: info@nabbonline.com

Volunteers are needed to help with the party. If you would like to help, email: playground@nabbonline.com or call the NABB office at 617-247-3961.

To keep the trick-a–treaters safe the following streets will be closed off. Marlborough Street from Berkeley-Fairfield Street and Dartmouth & Clarendon Streets from Beacon to Commonwealth Avenue will be closed to traffic from 5:00-9:30 p.m. to ensure safe trick-or-treating. Parked cars may stay on these streets, but will not be permitted to move during the street closing.
