Assault and Battery

03/13/11 – At about 3:17 a.m., officers responded to the Pour House at 907 Boylston St. for a report of an assault and battery in progress.

On arrival, police spoke with the victim, who stated that he was working as a security guard at the bar when he attempted to escort the suspect from the bar. At that time, the suspect allegedly punched the victim in the face with a closed fist.

Officers then spoke to the suspect, who stated that he never assaulted the victim. Police also located a witness, who stated that he observed the suspect punch the victim in the face as he was being escorted outside.

Police issued a license premise violation #20360, and the suspect will be summonsed to Boston Municipal Court on assault and battery charges.

Investigate Person

3/19/11 – At about 12:29 a.m., officers responded to a radio call for loud music and people yelling at 160 Commonwealth Ave.

On arrival, officers spoke with the manager of Bar Lola, which is located at the aforementioned address. The manager stated that a resident of the building was harassing his customers by blocking the door and preventing them from leaving the bar to use the bathroom. The manager also told police that the restaurant staff had an ongoing problem with the resident and his wife.

Police then spoke with the resident, who stated that he was being disturbed by noise coming from the bar. Officer said they couldn’t hear any noise from the man’s third-floor apartment, however.

Police also spoke with the concierge, who said that Bar Lola employees were very cooperative about keeping the noise down and not disturbing the building’s residents.
