Robbery – Unarmed – Miscellaneous

12/20/10 – At about 10 a.m., officers responded to a radio call for a larceny in progress at the Church of the Covenant, located at 67 Newbury St.

Upon arrival, police spoke with the victim, who stated while she was attending a Women’s Lunch at the aforementioned address, the suspect pushed her down at stole her wallet, which was hanging around her neck.  The victim stated that her wallet was adorned with yellow and orange roses and contained her Massachusetts driver’s license, a monthly MBTA pass and her house keys.

Church staff said the suspect ran into the alley behind Newbury Street and fled outbound on foot.

The suspect’s description was broadcast on Channel 5, and officers canvassed the area to no avail.

Indecent Exposure

12/20/10 – At about 12:50 p.m., a police officer responded to a radio call for a sexual offense report at the Muriel S. Snowden International School at 150 Newbury St.

Upon arrival, the officer spoke with two female suspects, who stated a male suspect had exposed his genitals to them at the Wendy’s restaurant at 551 Boylston St. as they were eating in the second-floor dining area at around 11 a.m. The victims reported that he didn’t say anything to him, but they had seen him eating at the establishment on previous occasions. The victims stated that they had no previous contact with the suspect.

Investigate Person

12/22/10 – At approximately 3:03 p.m., officers responded to a radio call for a larceny in progress at Rugby, located at 342 Newbury St.

The Channel Five dispatcher broadcast a description of five male suspects, who had just exited the store and fled down Newbury Street in the direction of the Boston Common. The store manager had reported that one suspect took a hat from the store.

Another officer observed an individual matching the suspect’s description outside of 261 Newbury St. and conducted a “bring back” with the individual.

At Rugby, the manager stated that she was unsure whether the individual had left the store with the hat. Officers then viewed a video of the incident, but were unable to ascertain whether the individual had stolen anything from the store.

Officers conducted an FIO of the individual, who was subsequently released.
